I don't work in the gaming industry, but I often hear that game development is a very hard job. Especially in large companies like Sony PlayStation, where deadlines are always tight and players expect high quality. It's hard for me to judge how developer stress affects the final product, but I just play slots on Belatra - game and slot machine developer for casinos and have fun. I think that any creative process has its difficulties, but the main thing is that the players are happy in the end.
When I became interested in the gaming industry, I was interested in how games are created, especially large projects. Then I started hearing about "crunches", especially in major studios like Sony PlayStation. Developers work for weeks without days off to meet deadlines. Of course, this affects both the quality of the games and the people themselves, but such are the realities of the industry.
As of now, Starfield isn’t playable on the PS5, and it seems like it will remain exclusive to Xbox and PC for the foreseeable future. Bethesda’s deal with Microsoft is likely a big factor here.
